Kurt Sesselle gaf in Exposure Value een demonstratie hoe men ‘natte collodium fotografie op glasplaat’ maakt.
Kurt is een inspirerende figuur die al ettelijke uren heeft gewijd aan deze geweldig complexe doch geniale techniek. Hij vertrekt van een maagdelijk stuk glas van 18x24cm tot een positief beeld. Hoe mooi is het niet om getuige te zijn van dit proces, een avontuur voor zowel het model als fotograaf. Het is iedere keer terug zoekend naar de juiste weg, omdat het verhaal nooit hetzelfde is. Het resultaat is blijvend, pakkend, intens en uniek. De foto linksboven in dit artikel is Kaat, de dochter van Kurt. Zij werd gefotografeerd en ontwikkeld in dit procédé.
