Met het fotoproject ‘Planet eARTH’ plaatst Yel een aantal kunstenaars uit andere culturen in de schijnwerpers. Beschouw het als een bewustmaking: overal zijn mensen met kunst bezig, ongeacht hun wortels.
Dit project wil dienst doen als eyeopener. Het wil een veertigtal erg getalenteerde maar minder bekende kunstenaars bekender maken. Het is voor de fotografe een erg verrijkende ervaring geworden om mensen uit zoveel uiteenlopende landen, culturen en disciplines voor de lens te krijgen. Eén ding hadden al die mensen gemeen: hun gedrevenheid, hun zin om te creëren, te schilderen, te zingen, te musiceren of te schrijven en die in België wonen. Die passie heeft zij in haar portretten willen overbrengen in de hoop dat ze uitnodigen tot een nadere kennismaking met de kunstenaar en zijn werk.

With the photo project "Planet eARTH" Yel puts a number of artists from other cultures in the spotlight. Think of it as an awareness: people
are engaged in art everywhere, regardless of their roots. This project aims to serve as an eye opener. It wants to make some forty very talented but less well-known artists more famous. It has become a very enriching experience for the photographer to get in front of people from so many different countries, cultures and disciplines living in Belgium. All these people had one thing in common: their passion, their desire to create, paint, sing, make music or write. She wanted to convey that passion in her portraits in the hope that they invite you to get to know the artist and his work further.
