Conceptuele fotografie met een steeds aanwezige ondertoon van humor en/of een veeg sarcasme. Doordacht, vernieuwend, soms gedurfd, maar heel confronterend en direct voor
de kijker. Direct door het camerastandpunt, steeds frontaal op het onderwerp.
Het licht en in beperkte mate het decor bepalen de sfeer en creëren de diepte in de opnamen.
Geen vervlakking door overdreven technische, digitale ingrepen, maar slechts als noodzakelijk hulpmiddel.
Koppels van bijna fotografische sculpturen, ontstaan uit creaties van licht in een doordachte
omgeving of studiodecor.
A series of diptychs, couples.
Two images each time reinforcing, supporting and complementing each other. Conceptual photography with an ever-present undertone of humor and / or a smear of sarcasm. Well thought-out, innovative, sometimes daring, but very confronting and straight ahead for the viewer. Directly through the camera angle, always frontal to the subject. The light and to a small measure, the decor determines the atmosphere and creates the depth in the images. No flattening out by overly technical, digital interventions, but only as a necessary aid.
Couples of almost photographic sculptures arise from creations of light in thoughtful environment or studio decor.
